The Tata Steel Sailing Club Annual Dinner and Prizegiving Evening will take place on February 18th 2012 at the Fairways Hotel, Porthcawl
Everyone is welcome, it's not just an award ceremony; It is also a great social event with club members meeting up in a very pleasant environment to chat and generally socialise

Membership Renewal
Tata Steel Sailing Club's Membership runs from January to January. It is now the time of the year that we need to renew our membership
Given the cost of postage, would members please download the 2012 membership application form and notify Glen Wilbraham that they have done this by emailing membership@tatasteelsailing.org.uk or telephone 01656 772204.
Tata Steel Sailing Club's racing schedule continues through the winter, with the winter "Blue Robin" Series, which starts on January 8th and runs through to March
There will be 20 races, with 8 races counting towards your series score.
There is an Open Invite to Non-Members for this series. Anyone wishing to take part in either the series or just the odd race are very welcome. Just email the secretary or just turn up on the day

Welcome
The club is situated three miles south of Port Talbot, South Wales and was formerly known as the Corus Sailing Club, Margam.
The reservoir is over one mile long by approximately half a mile wide, where racing takes place every Sunday throughout the whole year (for those brave enough!) and also on Saturdays, Tuesday evenings and Wednesday evenings through the Spring and Summer months.
Please note that you DO NOT need to be employed by Tata Steel to become a member!!
World Championships
Congratulations to David Evans, Tata Steel Sailing Club member, on coming an excellent 6th in the 49er class in the current ISAF World Championships in Perth
David, and crew Edward Powys, are the second placed British boat in the competition
Congratulations also to former member Hannah Mills
Hannah helmed the lead British boat in the 470 into 2nd place overall in Perth
